With the nickname 'Nerd-Zone', the area of Karlsruhe is hoping to attract a new generation of workers with a penchant for horn-rimmed glasses. As Germany's IT-Capitol, the area has a wealth of top jobs on offer. Communicating this message was the goal of the 'Nerd Zone' campaign led by the agency Young Targets. And we we able to lend our own talents to the effort: It started with screen and animation design for the website www.nerd-zone.de. The web presence features a 'Nerdanizer' - a sort of test for discovering which type of nerd you are for which we designed a series of unmistakeable nerd characters. The nerd search continues offline. With funny sayings and designs for T-Shirts and postcards, we were in creative top form. And that without our glasses!
